Legacy Community Service

About us

About us

Legacy Community Service plays a critical role in protecting, supporting and empowering women and their children who are survivors of domestic violence, abuse and stigmatisation that is so prevalent and widespread in our communities. We seek to create a bridge that will allow resources to flow into communities for enhancement of the quality of life and uplift their standard of living.

Our history

The organisation became more effective during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, to respond to the immediate needs of impoverished communities and to alleviate the plight of the poor and vulnerable members of society. Jesus said “That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another” John 13:34

Vision:

To create an inclusive society working together to Inspire, equip and empower communities for social transformation.

Mission:

Our mission is to empower and support the community, develop entrepreneurial skills, and assist with the capacity building.

Sports

As the organization we have realized the need to further introduce aerobics for those unable to afford fitness services and struggling to lose weight, we offer free aerobics sessions, while on the other hand we emphasize living a healthy lifestyle to reduce the risk of high blood pressure, depression, anxiety, stroke, heart attack, etc.

Skills Training

Legacy Community Service aims to work with small and micro business owners (formal or informal in nature) to help them to sustain and grow their existing or newly formed entities.

Offer start up assistance, business gap analysis, business coaching and one-on-one mentorship aimed at building capacity and financial stability through sound principals of business management, savings, record keeping, customer relations and possibly capital investment.

Community Care

Our aim is to provide poverty alleviation assistance to those in need. Each person who applies for help, is profiled to identify the best form of support. If the help required is beyond the scope of our services, the person will be referred to relevant NGOs, counsellors, social workers, churches and specialised services.
